Glutathione pills?: You don't absorb straight glutathione orally. It would need to be IV push. Otherwise, you must be getting NAC, which is a precursor to glutathione. No harm.

Stomach upset: Glutathione is usually well tolerated. Some people may have some stomach upset. Please realize that stomach acid destroys most of the glutathione you take - very little of it will ever make it into your body. Nac (n-acetylcysteine) pushes your natural pathways to make more glutathione. Nac actually does survive stomach acid and can make it into your body. B vitamins, zinc, vit c can also help.

Glutathione: Almost no information is available about the possible symptoms of a glutathione overdose. In fact, it is not even known if a glutathione overdose is even possible. An oral overdose of the supplement is probably unlikely, as research suggests that glutathione is poorly absorbed into the body when taken by mouth. Problems due to an overdose are probably molikely y occur if glutathione is taken im.

Doubtful: Serum glutathione is not a standard test in evidence-based medicine, and the only study i could find is a 1992 article by some physiologists confirming that it does its anti-oxidant job well when we exercise. Don't confront your practitioner (who is probably sincere), but do be careful -- i'm concerned that this is fringe medicine.
