On holiday in turkey and my leg is developing burn like rashes that were originally insect bites. they are not itchy or painful to touch, just ugly.

OK,...: Tough to know what this exactly without an exam. Sounds like a progression of the healing process, and hopefully you will not acquire scars form the bites moving forward. Try no to itch them or pick at them as that wold increase risk of infection and scarring. See Dr. if you feel they are not improving.
