Normal penis: Straight penis with erection. Urinary opening on the glans, as close to tip as possible. Satisfactory, single urinary stream which can be aimed and without spraying. No leak or post-void dribble. Satisfactory cosmetic result. Thus hopefully no complications such as persistent or de-novo penile curvature, urethral stricture or fistula.

Normal function/look: The goals of the repair are to create a functionally normal penis that only a urologist would know had been reconstructed. In other words, an opening at the tip, no unusual scars, a straight penis with erections and a directable straight urinary stream.
