Depression can cause: "Weakness" in some Pts. This is sometimes called "leaden paralysis". Other Pts feel weak after depression begins to improve bc they r deconditioned (they moved little while depressed & muscles atrophied) - strength is diminished. Medical w/u should be done to detect any untreated cause of weakness. If MD finds weakness is 2/2 depression, cont 2 work w MD to resolve depression & u'll b on ur way!
