You'll sleep better.: Remeron (mirtazapine) is an atypical antidepressant and it is often used not as antidepressant per se, but to stimulate appetite and as a hypnotic. A lower dose like 7.5 to 15 mg. stimulates appetite and a dose of 22.5 to 45 mg. improves sleep.
