Confirm: Make sure he sees a doctor and determine what possibly cause it. After that inquire from him or his doctor wether he needs medication including blood thinner (anticoagulant. ) Usually a decision will be made on the initial evaluation wether to try converting the rhythm back to normal or leave it as it is.
