A member asked:

What to do if i am 25 weeks pregnant and so confused about the swine flu vaccine!!?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good idea: The injected flu vaccine is recommended during pregnancy to help build protection for mother and baby. Most avoid giving it before 12 weeks out of extra caution, but it is safe at any point in pregnancy. The nasal (living) vaccine is not recommended during pregnancy. Flu is a real risk for pregnant moms and we lost 2 in 2009 in my town from severe flu complications.
