Floaters: "Floaters" are vitreous particles, and most people can occasionally see them in the "corner" of their eyes. However, an acute increase in the amount of these particles can be indicative of a more serious condition, a detaching retina. Other signs can be an acute change in visual acuity or flashes of light in the periphery of the eye. Call you eye doctor immediately with any of these. Good luck.
