At 12: We generally don't put in diets other than eliminating the junk foods encourage more exercise. HAs she started her period yet? If not she will naturally thin out as she goes through the changes. Don't worry too much yet but do eliminate the junk foods

Diet & exercise: Unfortunately there is no magic to weight loss. Healthy diet. Lots of exercise. . If you haven't seen her pediatrician, you should make an appointment. He/she can make sure there isn't something else going on ( like hypothyroid) . He may refer to an endocrinologist or dietician.
