Deficiency or factor: V Leiden?. Since you are on coumadin, (warfarin) it is not likely that you are deficient in Factor V but have an abnormal factor V that makes you susceptible to blood clots. The only cure for congenital factor V deficiency or Factor V Leiden would be liver transplant, but this treatment is likely to be worse than the disease.
