Shocked?: Shocks especially in the mouth are usually very obvious. There are burns. The event hurts a great deal so would not go unnoticed. And if it was so mild as to not register a reaction it is not serious. You are lucky. Be very careful. Two and three year olds are magnets for dangerous things. It is a challenge to protect them.
