Only he knows: Human papilloma Virus is extremely common and multiple genotypes exist. if you have ever had even a common wart than you have been exposed to HPV. It is not typically thought of as a sexually transmitted disease but can be transmitted via sexual contact. However, only your husband will know the answer to your question. The HPV test does not pass judgement.

Depends: It depends on if you have been previously screened and you were negative. If not HPV could be dormant for sometime.

Hard to say: HPV is different from simple STD's like gonorrhea, where most will have symptoms within a short period. HPV strains can be acquired by men, become active,self clear & become dormant for years. It can later reactivate & be passed to a partner. This is hardly a smoking gun. It cannot be used as clear evidence of anything beyond him getting it at some point in the past.
