Not sure: Scapular bursitis is not a common problem and is usually does not occur on both sides at once. Pain is usually with shoulder motion, not back motion. Your pain could be due to muscular back strain, but the kidneys are also in this area. If the pain does not respond to heat and rest, get it checked out.
