GASTRIC ULCER: Gastric ulcer is an ulcer in stomach.It is caused by an imbalance of pepsin and stomach acid and gastric lining.Can be caused by Aspirin or drugs like ibuprophen, h pylori infection, chronic gastritis, smoking and cancer.It causes pain which may be relieved with antiacids.It is diagnosed by endoscopy and treated with antibiotics if h pylori is positive along with acid supression, or just acid supressi.
