A member asked:

I have low iron and take over-the-counter iron pills. i how much iron is in prescription strength iron and what is he difference between that and ove?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Iron: Over the counter iron pills come in various strenghts and can be similar to prescription iron. Best to use a slow release iron e.g. Slow Fe and take 500 mg vit C with each dose to help absorption of iron. Look up high iron foods on google, as food is best source of iron.
