Can't burp: Fundoplication provides a barrier to GERD, but also to vomiting & burping since the lower esophageal sphincter no longer relaxes to let air (or other stomach contents) escape upward from your stomach. Air then accumulates in stomach, resulting in gas & bloating until it can be evacuated into the small bowel. May also see w/achalasia, food impaction, gastroparesis, obstructing tumor, more. Get help
