Galactorrhea: Small amounts of milk or serous fluid are commonly expressed for weeks, months, or years from women who have previously been pregnant or lactating. Galactorrhea can also occur as a side effect of hypothyroidism which sometimes happens after pregnancy. Schedule a visit with your physician if you are still producing milk at 16 months after weaning, to rule out other causes.
