Available TKI: Yes, tarceva (erlotinib) is widely used and available in north america, however gefitinib is not easy to get herei in us. Gefitinib is available in europe and asia.

While gefitinib was: Developed first, it is hard to find in america (iressa (gefitinib)). Erlotinib (tarceva) has more side effects, but a trial showed a survival advantage. Probably more related to the characteristics of the study participants than the drug. These are small molecule, tyrosine kinase inhibitors in the erb family of receptors. Canada and europe has iressa (gefitinib). Erlotinib is in us.
