Here are some ...: Self-inflicting "injury" to the penis with masturbator is very unlikely, but should be minor if any. As to the pace of nerve healing after injury incurred by such toy, it may widely vary & take 1-12 months for self healing and repairing, according to basic surgical knowledge; I don't believe there has been any study to address the issue of specific injury by masturbator.
