Anxiety: If you're not having these symptoms during physical exertion and only In bed, anxiety resulting in chest wall muscle tension and forceful or slightly rapid heart rate, anxiety is likely occurring. THis makes you focus intensely on your heartbeat. Discuss this with your physician who may prescribe a mild tranquilizer or stress management. Avoid alcohol and caffeine as well.
