Probably not dead: Testicular torsion involves twisting of the testicle which results in a loss of blood flow to the testicle. This is a true emergency and causes excruciating pain. More come cause of testicular pain include local trauma and infection (epididymitis or orchiitis). If you have concern for torsion, seek medical attention immediately.
