Staph. infection: This is likely a staph. bacterial infection. The elimination takes awhile because you are likely a "carrier" Do 4 things over the next 6 mo. and your carriage rate will be reduced >90%: 1. triple antibiotic oint. in both nostrils nightly. 2. Wash with Dial or Lever 2000 soap for showers. 3. Take a bath twice weekly w a CAPfull of bleach added to water. 4. TMP/SFX DS antibiotic twice/day x 20 days.
