Old blood: I worry that it could be retained parts of your placenta. Usually brown discharge is just old blood that is just now being expelled. It's possible, since you're having normal periods now, that it's just left over blood from your periods which isn't terribly unusual, but you might want to get checked out by your ob/gyn to be safe.
