Bumpy gocart &brain?: You mention your go cart ride was bumpy, but didn't describe anything like head injury or loss of consciousness. If you did experience either of these symptoms, go directly to the ER. If, as you describe, your ride was uneventful, remember to always wear a helmet, or even skip the go carts if you don't like them much anyway. Brain injury would be unlikely with no head trauma. Concussion definitio: Concussion by definition, involves a mental status change with possible confusion, amnesia with or without a loss of consciousness. Although reporting of concussions is on the rise, without any of the above symptoms it is unlikely you suffered a concussion. Enough force has to be applied to the body or head to shake or concuss the brain inside the skull to produce a concussion.
