Acid reflux: It is easier for stomach acid to find it's way "north" when you are lying down, since gravity is no longer working in your favor. Acid in the upper GI tract can cause heartburn, pressure under breast bone, cough, hoarseness, or sore throat. If you note trouble swallowing or breathing, or if you note dark stools, call doc right away. Try antacid, see if helps.
