Surgery for Sweating: Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ets) is the procedure done to block the nerve tracks that transmit signals to the sweat glands. The most common side effect is a compensatory increase in sweating in other parts of the body. In some patients it's so severe that they often have to change their clothes during the day. Recurrence after surgery for hand sweating has been show to be around 6.6%.

Try BOTOX: I have had great success with treating this condition using botox. Is is much less invasive than surgery with a much lower complication rate. See your hand surgeon for an evaluation.

Yes : Can be very successful for palmar and arm pit hyperhidrosis. It is done via vats or video-assisted thoracic surgery to cut the nerves that lead to the problem. It is up to 90-95% successful, though not without risks. http://www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/surgery/specialties/cardio/thoracicsurgery.html.
