Not Really: You are probably correct that you have a trauma-induced hematoma. You can try applying ice to the area to reduce the swelling and further bleeding. Your body should re-absorb the excess blood and fluid over the course of the next week. If you take a blood thinner, aspirin or NASAID (Motrin, Aleve) for any reason, these medications may slow the resolution of the hematoma.
