I had a boil on my groin area that i squeezed and now it looks like there is a small hole in it. was it a mistake to squeeze it should i be concerned?

See Your Doctor: 17 yr old has "boil in groin...squeezed...hole in it". A boil is a local collection of pus in the skin due to infection of a hair follicle. Pain and increase in size occur as pus builds up, eventually drainage can occur. Squeezing a boil can cause it to open and release pus, leaving a tiny hole. Surrounding skin infection may require antibiotics. See your doctor for correct diagnosis and treatment
