A member asked:

How contraceptives helps to fight ovarian cysts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

FSH suppression: FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) produced in the pituitary signals ovarian follicles to grow, sometimes to the size of a cyst. Estrogen in birth control pills suppresses FSH production. Less FSH, less growth of cysts.
