A member asked:

Can i take bc pill even if i have a history of breast cancer in my family? (mother passed away and grandmother survived)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Were the family breast cancers estrogen receptor positive? If so, the pills do contain a very small amount of estrogen, and your psyche may best be treated with another form of secure contraception. Talk to your MD about this subject and options.
