Fairly quick: Most band patients can go home the same day as surgery. Typically they can return to work a couple of days afterwards. Strenuous activity, such as weight lifting may take a little longer so that the port doesn't become displaced but most patients can jog and perform light activity within a couple of weeks.

Home same day: The band placement takes 40 minutes. Usually 4-5 small punctures. Very mild pain. Up walking same day. Driving in 4-5 days. Back at work 7-14 days. Actually, not much different than sleeve or bypass in experienced hands.

1-7 days: Most it's 3-4 days. If you work for yourself a day and if you work for the government six weeks.
