could a woman ovulate ovulate the next day after her period ends with a usual 28 day cycle?

Timing: Ovulation occurs 12-16 days prior to the start of the next period. Thus, in a usual 28 day cycle, ovulation occurs at the mid point. However, it is possible to ovulate early, but one would not know it until the next period starts early.

No it is unlikely: Ovulation normally takes place around mid period, it may happen a little early or later, but it is very unlikely to happen next day after your period.
