It's important that you have a regular cycle, because if this goes on for several years, it increases the risk of uterine cancer. With PCO, you don't ovulate, so you don't make progesterone. Progesterone protects the uterus against cancer. The easiest way to cycle is with OCPs. If you want pregnancy, you need ovulation induction.
