Possible : Because condoms to do not cover the entire area that may have herpes sores on it, and these sores are often the point of transmission of the virus, they may not completely protect. Taking Valtrex (valacyclovir) Daily should lower your chances of active outbreak or likelihood of transmission. However, it's best to have your doc check the lesion to see if it's a herpetic lesion.
