Yes and no: You can certainly use self-stimulation/masturbation to temporarily elevate your mood. However, the effect is going to be transient and is not the solution to your depression. You need to do the work with the help of therapist or psychologist to work through your depression and you may need to augment this work with medication to get over the initial hump. but the reward at the end is worth journey
