Old Wives Tales: I am sorry to report but following BBT is not in any way a reliable measure of your menstrual or ovulation cycle. You still may be pregnant, however, if you have only tested once you can wait one more week and repeat the test. Remember that Sperm have to be in the vagina at least one day before ovulation to cause pregnancy. We often teach that the five days leading up to ovulation are the days.
