Drug and ask: This is a questionable procedure where a psychiatrist (most commonly) conducts an interview/psych session while the patient is under the influence of a serious mind altering drug. Classically that drug has been in the barbiturate family. However, other drugs, such as midazolam, Propofol or ketamine can also be used singly or in combination. Its a bad idea and potentially quite dangerous.
