More information???: Hi. More information would be helpful. Pituitary tumors can cause problems by: overproduction of a pituitary hormone, harming normal pituitary hormone production (e.g., compressing normal pituitary tissue and/or pituitary stalk), mass effect, visual field disturbances (by compressing the optic chiasm), headache, hemorrhage, etc.
