Evaluation: Teeth that are moving rapidly are usually periodontally involved. When was the last time you've had a dental check up? If more than six months, now is the time to call for an appointment. Your local dentist can advise you of what treatment you might need.

See a dentist: Teeth movement can be a sign that you are at risk for, or already have, gum disease also called periodontitis. Periodontitis destroys the tissue and bone that support the teeth and can cause tooth loss and tooth shifting. Periodontitis can also be transmitted to your loved ones via saliva. This condition needs to be treated by the dentist.
