Is it common to have burning in both feet and legs with restless leg syndrome? thanks!

Depends: One subgroup of people with restless leg syndrome have a type of condition called peripheral neuropathy. This is a type of condition and not a specific illness. There are many illnesses that cause peripheral neuropathy. Some patients with peripheral neuropathy will have primary effects on small sized nerve fibers. These patients often have burning pain. Formal nerve evaluation is indicated.

Check iron: If you have fatigue as well you may have low iron. Iron is a cofactor for tyrosine hydroxylase which is the rate limiting enzyme in the production of Dopamine and other related neurotransmitters. This can cause Ekbom Syndrome, the form of RLS treated with iron replacement. I may be barking up the wrong tree however . Polyneuropathy can cause symptoms in legs and hands. check B12, thyroid, etc
