Blood and stool test: As your symptoms have been going on for a month, I would suggest seeing your health professional for some initial tests. Stool testing for white and red blood cells, culture and ova & parasites, along with some basic bloodwork. Your symptoms could suggest an infection, but could also be consistent with irritable bowel disorder or inflammatory bowel disease.
