Yes but...: DepoProvera has a long half-life and can remain in the body for up to 18 months after the last injection. This can wreak havoc with the natural hormonal cycle for months. There is no way to remove the DepoProvera so the only solution to inducing a menses with residual DepoProvera on-board is with a combined hormonal contraceptive that contains an estrogen. But this will not induce ovulation.
