I do not think so: BCP are not 100% protective for preventing Pregnancy. You can use it long with Spermicidal Jelly. BCP contain very low dose of Hormones so some times menstrual periods are very scanty and some times one misses the period. If you skip 3 months in a row; please see your PCP/GYN. Home pregnancy tests are very reliable
