What to do if i had dermatitis on my beard but kept irritating it for a long time and now it is bumpy and rough?

Dry skin?: Does the area itch? If it does, it may be from a contact allergy to something you use on your face (beard). If not, it may just be from dry skin and your rubbing the area led to the skin bumps. If you are using a soap to wash the beard area, avoid scented or anti-bacterial soap and use one with more moisturizer in it. If it itches, a topical cortisone lotion for a few days may do the job.
