Very unlikely: Most children with sickle trait are asymptomatic except their hemoglobin levels, so called iron count, stay a bit lower than normal.

No: Sickle trait means one copy of hemoglobin carries the mutation for sickle cell disease and the other copy is unaffected. Most people with sickle trait are unaffected by this.
