Depends on variables: If your infections are not detected or treated, both can pass to the newborn during birth. Gonorrhea can cause a terrible eye infection and chlamydia can cause both an eye infection and a pneumonia that may be deadly.If treated during pregnancy, and cured, the child has a chance to be normal at birth.
