. Phlebitis: Tranexamic acid works to slow bleeding by preventing blood clots from dissolving once formed. There is thus a risk that an unwanted clot could form. That could be what is in your leg. Blood clots are dangerous. Contact your doctor immediately or go to urgent care to make sure that is not what is wrong.
