A member asked:

My a.g level is .9,s.bilirubin(total)-2.3 ,s.bilirubin(direcrt)-1.5 ,s.bilirubin(indirect)-0.8, sgot-88,sgpt-73 what does it means.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It means you're sick: Please forgive my frankness. Your physician has a duty to begin or continue your workup for hyperbilirubinemia and elevated liver transaminases, and to explain what he/she is doing. This may be nothing more than too much alcohol or a medication you're sensitive to, or you may have a viral or immune hepatitis, Wilson's, hemochromatosis or some other serious illness that must be Rx's.
