A member asked:

Is testosterone alone safe for menopause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Never used alone: Methyl testosterone can be added to estrogen for a patient with severe hot flashes. This combination is sometimes used after bilateral oophorectomy which causes abrupt cessation of estrogen production called surgical menopause.
