Small meals: you can try certain methods yourself. Eat small meals throughout the day, avoid spicy foods, avoid eating close to bedtime. some say chew gum after eating to neutralize acids. Avoid drinking too much water with meals. No smoking no alcohol. If all this fails have your doctor prescribe an antiacid with calcium and or magnesium such as rolaids or tums (calcium carbonate).
